     Laura Jane Ward was born on 22 January 1842 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Deacon Thomas Harris Ward and Esther Kellogg Mayo.1,2,3,4,5,6 Laura married David Osgood Rich, son of Denny Rich and Mary Ann Osgood.5,4,2 Laura Jane Ward and Esther Finette Ward lived about 1901 in Bacon Street, Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Esther and Laura lived together so that Laura could help Esther who was now blind.2 Laura Jane Ward fell and broke her hip, was never mentally the same again, and was bed ridden between September 1925 and October 1925. She died on Friday, 25 March 1927 in Athol, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 85 years, 2 months and 3 days as the only patient at a home run by a Mrs. Field.5,3,2
