Roxana Mayo was born on 21 June 1797 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Benjamin Mayo and Dorothy Goddard.1 Roxana married George Wheelock, son of Alexander Wheelock and Sophia Penniman.1 Roxana married David Frost.1 Roxanna purchased a building on the Oliver Ward place and had it moved to her husband's property to serve as the first Congregational Church in Tully. Despite the strong belief in temperance, the move was well lubricated for "mechanical purposes." The chapel was established in 1843. The Frosts purchased the first communion set and the melodeon for the chapel.2 Roxana Mayo died on Saturday, 30 June 1855 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, at age 58 years and 9 days.1,3 Roxana's gravestone inscription in North Orange Cemetery, Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, reads:
