     Captain Henry Kerley was born about 1632 in England. He was the son of William Kerley and Hannah King.1 On 2 November 1654 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Henry married Elizabeth White, daughter of John White and Joane West.2,3,4 Henry was one of the original settlers of Lancaster, Mass. His first lot of land was 20 acres and he drew three more acres in the second division. It turned out that the 20 acres given to Henry should have gone to Ministerial Land. In 1656, his lot was taken from him and he was given another 20 acres. Captain Henry Kerley became a freeman in 1668 in Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts. On 18 April 1677 in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Henry married Elizabeth Ward, daughter of Deacon William Ward and Elizabeth unknown. The marriage was recorded as 18 (2) 1677.1,4,5 Captain Henry Kerley left a will on 17 May 1708 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He died on Monday, 18 December 1713 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 Henry's will was proved on 27 January 1713/14 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
