     Capt. Robert Gladwin Roy was born on 5 October 1919 in 1800 East 105th Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.1,4 He was the son of Leo Joseph Roy and Gladys Gladwin.1,2,3 Capt. Robert Gladwin Roy was nick named "Bob."5 He was baptized on 11 June 1922 in the Akron Universalist Church, Akron, Summit County, Ohio.6 He was confirmed on 28 March 1934 in Incarnation Episcopal Church, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.7 He joined the U.S. Army Medical Corp. in 1940.5 Hewas discharged from the Army in 1945.8 Having joined the National Guard, he was called up with the 28th Division during of the Korean War.8 He was retired in 1957 from the Army, receiving a medical discharge.5 He was employed about 1958 in Orange Credit Union, Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts.5 He served about 1959 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, as the Director of Civil Defense.5 He died on Tuesday, 3 May 1966 in Athol, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 46 years, 6 months and 28 days.5,9,10,4 He was buried on 9 May 1966 in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, section 51, grave 1392.5
