     Florent I Count of Holland and West Friesland was the son of Dietrich III Count of West Friesland and of Holland and Othelendis.1 Florent I Count of Holland and West Friesland was also known as Florenz I Count of Holland. About 1050 Florent married Gertrude of Saxony, daughter of Bernard II Duke of Saxony and Elica von Schweinfort.1 Florent I Count of Holland and West Friesland was killed on Friday, 28 June 1061 in Hannert.1
