     Fernando II King of Léon was born in 1137.1 He was the son of Alfonso VII King of Castile and Léon and Richilde of Poland Queen of Castile and Léon.1 Fernando II King of Léon was crowned King of Leon and King of Galicia and Extremandura in 1157.1 In 1164 Fernando married Urraca Princess of Portugal, daughter of Alfonso I Henriques King of Portugal and Matilda of Savoy.1 Fernando II King of Léon and Urraca Princess of Portugal were divorced in June 1175 after which Urraca became a nun.1 In August 1179 Fernando married Teresa Fernandez de Traba.1 In May 1187 Fernando married Urraca Lopez de Haro, daughter of Lope Diaz V de Haro Lord of Vizcaya and Najera and Aldonza Ruiz.1 Fernando II King of Léon died on Friday, 22 January 1188 in Benavente, Italy, at age 51 years.1
