     Frederick Flanders was born on 5 May 1828 in Cornville, Somerset County, Maine.1,2,3 He was the son of Moses Flanders and Roxana Webb.1,2,3 Frederick Flanders and Sarah A. Berry filed marriage intentions on 28 October 1853 in Cornville, Somerset County, Maine.2 On 30 October 1853 in St. Albans, Somerset County, Maine, Frederick married Sarah A. Berry, daughter of Eliphalet Berry and Mary P. Kimball. It was a double wedding with her sister, Abigail.4,5,6 According to the 1880 Census, neither Frederick nor Sarah could read or write as both were deaf and dumb.4 Frederick Flanders and Sarah A. Berry appeared on the Census of 1880 in Palmyra, Somerset County, Maine.4 Frederick Flanders died on Monday, 20 August 1900 in Newport, Penobscot County, Maine, at age 72 years, 3 months and 15 days.1
