     Fernando Gonzalez Count of Castile, Burgos, and Lara was the son of Gonzalo Fernandez de Lara Count of Burgos and Castile and Munia of Castile.1 Fernando Gonzalez Count of Castile, Burgos, and Lara was born about 912.1 He was also known as Fernan Gonzalez. He succeeded to the throne in 932 as the Count of Castile.1 Fernando married Urraca Garces of Navarre, daughter of Garcia III Sanchez King of Navarre and Anregota Sanchez.1 In 932 in Spain Fernando married Sancha Sanchez of Navarre, daughter of Sancho I Garces "Optimo Imperator" King of Navarre and Toda Aznarez de Larron.1 Fernando Gonzalez Count of Castile, Burgos, and Lara died in June 970 in Spain.1 He was buried in St. Peter of Orlanza, Spain.1
