Lewis and Bessie (Parents) Eddy
     Lewis George Eddy was born on 9 March 1867 in Shutesbury, Franklin County, Massachusetts. White (1900) gives his birth place as Montague, Massachusetts.1,3,2 He was the son of George Harrington Eddy and Jane F. Sherwin.1,2 In March 1890, he was raised as a Master Mason in Bay State Lodge, Montague, affiliating with Pacific Lodge in 1908. He was exalted in Amherst Arch Chapter 7 April 1921. He was also a member of Unity Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.4 On 16 August 1893 in Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, Lewis married Bessie Eliza Parents, daughter of Charles Frederick Parents and Hattie Francelia Blanchard.1,3,2 Lewis George Eddy was a stationary engineer in 1930 in Amherst.1,3 He mis-stepped off a low porch and broke his hip.5 He died on Saturday, 4 April 1953 in Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, at age 86 years and 26 days.4 He was buried in West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.4
