Flavius Tiberius Mauricus Emperor of the East was born about 539 in Cappadocia, Empire of the East.1 His name was also spelt "Maurice Emperor of the East."1 Flavius married Constantina, daughter of Tiberius II Constantinus Emperor of the East and Anastasia. Flavius Tiberius Mauricus Emperor of the East was crowned Emperor of the East in 582 at Constantinople, Empire of the East.1 The Danube army mutinied, and he was forced to abdicate in 602.1 He was murdered in 602 by Procas.1
