Ruth (Ward) Woodman
     Ruth Esther Ward was born on 9 July 1889 in Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts.1,5,6,2,3,7,8 She was the daughter of Everett Daniel Ward and Cora May Harding.1,2,3,4 In December 1901, she fell on frozen ground, cutting a gash in one of her limbs.9 On 2 October 1912 in the Home of Everett and Cora Ward, Ruth's parents, North Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Ruth married Harry Lincoln Woodman, son of Herbert J. Woodman and Mary E. Flanders. In a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Selden W. Cummings, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lowell.5,2,4,10,11,8 Ruth Esther Ward and Harry Lincoln Woodman lived after 1 January 1913 in 43 South Loring Street, Lowell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.4 Ruth Esther Ward and Harry Lincoln Woodman lived about 1917 in 422 Pine Street, Lowell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Ruth Esther Ward died on Sunday, 28 December 1980 in Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 91 years, 5 months and 19 days.12,6,7,8 She was buried on 31 December 1980 in Jones Cemetery, Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, The following is from her funeral sermon: "She was not only a grandmother in her own family, but served that functions well for many people. She had the appearance of a grandmother, the mein of one, too. She appeared in church with the assurance of a dowager queen, elegantly dressed, making quips and wise cracks, kids dancing around her in great merriment, the younger folks greeting her. Hers was always a grand entrance.13,14,7"
