     Lawrence Carlyle Ward was born on 18 July 1910 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Everett Daniel Ward and Cora May Harding.1,2,3 Lawrence Carlyle Ward graduated in 1928 from in Athol High School, Athol, Worcester County, Massachusetts, where he played quarterback for their football team.4 He was employed by the Cohoes Carrier Bags Company in 1934.4,3 He graduated in 1934 from in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute receiving his engineering degree.4 On 6 November 1936 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Lawrence married Edith Charlotte Waterman.1,3 He was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II advancing to Lt. Col.3 Lawrence Carlyle Ward and Edith Charlotte Waterman were Episcopalians and a members of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Statesburg, Sumter County, South Carolina, about 1984. Lawrence Carlyle Ward died on Tuesday, 12 February 1985 in Veterans Medical Center, Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina, at age 74 years, 6 months and 25 days.3
